.TFW File

The tfw file extension is related to ESRI ArcView GIS software.

The tfw file contains world data (rotational information and the world coordinates) for a tif image.

These world files must be in ASCII text format and stored in the same directory or folder as the image file.

Files with tfw file extension can be found as GIS world files from ESRI ArcView. A tfw files are stored in simple text format and saved as separate file along *.tif image.
