What is an .SSIF file?

The ssif file extension is related to Blu-ray video technology and used for files that contain two BDAV MPEG-2 transport streams, which create 3D stereoscopic projection of the movie. Both of the streams include an MPEG-4 MVC view video stream for left eye or right eye respectively.

SSIF interleaved file is used only when the movie from the Blu-ray are played in the 3D mode. 3D Blu-ray playback is function of Blu-ray players.
