File extension rt4 is mainly associated with the Panasonic WJ-RT416 digital media center that allows users to manage security cameras and archiving video data captured by these cameras.

A typical .rt4 file stores recorded from the camera. It is playable in the RT4Client software.

How to convert:

It seems that RT4 format uses MPEG-4 codec, so perhaps conversion is possible. The problem with proprietary formats is that they usually are protected and can be converted only using original software.
