A PUPPET file contains a puppet, which is a character or object created by Adobe Character Animator, a program used to create 2D animations of illustrated characters. It stores an image in the Character Animator Puppet format, which includes layers for each part of the puppet and applied animation behaviors. PUPPET files are created from artwork saved in the Photoshop .PSD or Illustrator .AI file formats.
Character Animator puppets are only supported by Adobe Character Animator. The PUPPET files can be exported with Character Animator, shared with other Character Animator users, and imported into the program for use in scenes.
To open a PUPPET file in Character Animator, select
or drag the PUPPET file into the Project panel in Character Animator. To place a puppet in a scene in Character Animator, select the puppet in the Project panel, then click or select . The puppet can also be dragged from the Project panel directly into the scene in a Character Animator .CHPROJ project file.NOTE: To create a PUPPET file in Adobe Character Animator, select
