Chemisch bestand opgeslagen in het formaat MMCIF -formaat (macromoleculaire kristallografische informatiebestand (MMCIF); Bevat kristallografische en magnetische gerelateerde informatie in tag-waardeparen of in een lusstructuur, die werkt als een tabel; Alternatief formaat voor het formaat Protein Data Bank (.PDB).
Het .MCIF -formaat is gemaakt om de mogelijkheden van het .cif -bestandsformaat uit te breiden. Het formaat is nauw vergelijkbaar met het CIF -formaat, maar kan ook magnetische ruimtegroepen opslaan, wat een noodzaak werd nadat Harold T. Stokes en Brandon J. Campbell CIF -woordenboeken verlengden door magnetische gerelateerde tags toe te voegen.
