What is an .QXD file?

The qxd file extension is used for desktop publishing (DTP) files created by QuarkXpress 5 application or its earlier versions.

QuarkXpress is used for creating page layouts for magazines, newspapers, books, flyers, brochures, and other publications.

QXD format was replaced by QXP file format in QuarkXpress versions 6 and later.

MIME types:
application/quarkxpress
application/x-quark-express

This qxd file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with qxd file extension can be find as DTP (desktop publishing) files saved in QuarkXpress software.

How to open:

The most obvious choice for opening QXD documents would be to use QuarkXpress.

How to convert:

QuarkXpress supports several other document formats and can export / save them.
