.GL2 File

The gl2 file extension is related to HPGL. Sometimes hyphenated as HP-GL, it is the primary printer control language used by Hewlett-Packard plotters.

The name is an initials for Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language.

It later became a standard for almost all plotters. Hewlett-Packard's printers also usually support HPGL in addition to PCL.

A gl2 file contains plotter data in HPGL format.

This gl2 file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.
