What is an .ACCDE file?

The accde file extension is associated with Microsoft Access. Microsoft Access is a database management system, part of Microsoft Office Suite, developed by Microsoft Corporation.

The accde files are used by the latest versions of Microsoft Access for files that are compiled into an executable only file.

The accde files are a "locked-down" version of the original accdb file. If the accdb file contains any Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code, only the compiled code is included in the accde file.

As a result, the VBA code cannot be viewed or modified by the user. Also, users working with accde files cannot make design changes to forms or reports.

In earlier versions of Microsoft Access the mde file extension was used instead for such files.

Files with accde file extension can be found as special executable versions of Microsoft Office ACCDB databases. Used for sharing databases that cannot be edited nor their code viewed or otherwise altered.

How to open:

This is an executable file, which you can launch. You can also open it with Microsoft Access and probably import the table data in to Microsoft Excel.

How to convert:

ACCDE format is compiled, so it is unlikely you could convert it to anything else. If you need that you will have look for the original source database in ACCDB format.
