What is an .XDB file?

The xdb file extension is mainly related to old HyperCD technology. This patented technology uses a software application to split an MPEG file into 2 unequal pieces. Once split, the MPEG video can only be reassembled via an HTML embed-tag located in the same internet directory as the smaller piece of the MPEG.

A proprietary software plug-in is also required (which would be installed on the fly into the users default browser), as well as, a CD that contains the larger of the 2 unequal pieces.

This xdb file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with xdb file extension can be found as part of old HyperCD technology. Seems like no longer used.

How to open:

You can work with these files in HyperLOCK.

How to convert:

Probably cannot be converted to other formats.
