.WSMDI File

The wsmdi file extension is related to Microsoft Visual Studio and used for one of its file generated for projects.

A wsmdi file contains a list of tests which exist across all projects within users solution.

How to open:

With Visual Studio installed, double-clicking on the *.vsmdi file inside Visual Studio will launch the “Test List Editor” which allows you to organise these tests into a hierarchy which you can then use to selectively execute tests.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .wsmdi file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
