The w3u file extension is mainly related to Blizzard's Warcraft 3 real-time strategy game.

W3U format stores any custom created units inside a w3m or w3x map.

Units are created in the world editor, and then generates to this w3u file.

These files are located withing W3M Warcraft 3 maps, you have to open them in Warcraft 3 map editor.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .w3u file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
