What is an .VZM file?

A VZM file is a data file created by Message+, a messaging app provided by Verizon Wireless. It contains one or more messages sent or received from a smartphone or computer.

VZM files are created when a user chooses to save their text messages from the Message+ app on their phone or computer. They may save them for the purpose of backing them up or sharing with others.

While Message+ creates the VZM file it cannot be used to open the file. The VZM file is stored in XML, which means you can read it using a text editor. You can also save it as an .XML or .HTML file by renaming the extension from ".vzm" to ".xml" or ".html" and then open it in a web browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
