.VKP File

The vkp file extension is related Sony Ericsson devices and used for one of its firmware files.

The output file (*.vkp) which is generated from VKP (Firmware Patch File) and RAW (Binary Firmware File) and used with SETool 2 Lite / XS++ or other Service Utilities for flashing and accessing internal phone software.

The latest version supports .asm, .xml .txt, .cfg and .ini files.

This vkp file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

How to open:

To open *.vkp file, you can use any suggested applications or any text editor with ASCII encoding support.Simply use file execution ( opening ) in your OS and after opening file you can edit it as text. After finishing, save it and close.

How to convert:

To convert the *.vkp to text file, simply rename it or save it with .txt extension! VKP file is ASCII / Unicode text file.
