.TXF File

The txf file extension is used for The Tax Exchange Format -  a standard text based data format, that is used by financial applications, like TurboTax, At Home, etc. for transporting tax data.

The txf file containing records of tax data where each record defines the critical information required by the tax products to process the record.

It is defined as an ascii file where each record is separated by a marker line which has one character "^". Each field in the exchange record is a separate line with a single character at start of the line defining the field in the record the line is referring to.
