The syx file extension is used for one of the many Modula-2 files.
Modula-2 is a computer programming language invented by Niklaus Wirth at ETH, around 1978, as a successor to his intermediate language Modula. Modula-2 was implemented in 1980 for the Lilith computer, which was commercialized in 1982 by startup company DISER (Data Image Sound Processor and Emitter Receiver System) as MC1 and MC2.
This syx file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.
This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.
Files with syx file extension can be found as one of the data script M2sds files from Modula-2.
