The surprise file extension is most recently related to a new ransomware labeled as Surprise. Much like similar ransomware it encrypts users files and demands ransom to be paid in bitcoins.

This particular ransomware is distributed through TeamViewer as surprise.exe executable.

How to open:

Such files can only be accessed again and recovered when you pay the ransom in bitcoins. You can also wait until new decrypter is made and available for public.

How to convert:

You cannot convert or recover .surprise files without some decryption utility.
