.SLDASM File

File extension sldasm is associated with SolidWorks, a 3D mechanical program for Microsoft Windows operating system developed by SolidWorks Corporation.

The sldasm is the "assembly file" which places *.sldprt "part geometry files" in their final locations within a 3D scene.

A single *.sldprt part file can be instanced multiple times into a scene, without geometry duplication, by way of the *.sldasm assembly file. An assembly file can reference children *.sldasm assembly files and/or *.sldprt part files.

Files with sldasm extension can be mainly found as CAD assembly files from SolidWorks CAD software.

How to convert:

SolidWorks can export or import many 3D/CAD/CAM formats. This should be also possible using other 3rd party programs.
