Vundo (also known as VirtuMonde and VirtuMundo) is a malicious software application that combines both adware and trojan characteristics. Vundo is wide spread today and is probably one of the hardest programs to get rid of.

Once installed, Vundo downloads and displays pop-up advertisements that often promote questionable computer-enhancement programs or fake anti-virus or anti-spyware utilities. Vundo also has been advertising several rogue programs called WinFixer2005, WinAntiVirus Pro 2006, WinAntiSpyware and RazeSpyware.

Files with sci file extension are related to the Virtumonde / Vundo Trojan infected data.

How to open:

This file type is not meant to be opened directly, there is no software that could open and work with it directly, or there is no information available in public sources about opening this file type. This is usually the case of some internal data files, caches, temporary files etc.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .sci file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes.
