A SARC file is an archive saved in the Sead ARChived (SARC) Resource format used by various Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and Switch games. It stores game data resource files, such as image, texture, level, and object files. SARC files are often modified by the homebrew and modding communities to alter gameplay.
SARC files are similar to .U8 archives, which are often modified by Mario Kart modders. The archives may also be saved as .ARC files. You can extract game data files from SARC archives using SARC Tool or SARCTools.
