.RWL File

The rwl file extension is used for RAW image files created in Leica D-Lux and probably also other Leica digital camera.

It's a default photo RAW output of these devices.

the RAW files are sometimes also called digital negatives, because they serve same purpose as negatives in film photography.

The RAW image stores a wider dynamic range or color gamut than the eventual final image format, and it preserves most of the information of the captured image.

Files with rwl file extension can be found as D-Lux 4 digital raw images from digital cameras developed by Leica.

How to open:

Generally latest Adobe Photoshop CC should have no trouble with opening these *.rwl files.

How to convert:

Digital raw photographs can be usually exported to JPEG or TIFF in some photo editor.
