The rpl file extension is probably best know for its use for ARMovie format, an ostensibly multimedia container format used on Acorn RISC computer systems.

Perhaps the most curious aspect of the format's design is its use of variable-length strings in the file header. Probably very rare outside Acorn RISC platform.

Files with rpl file extension can be often found as videos in special ARMovie video format for RISC OS 6 operating system.

How to open:

As far as we know, this file type is only playable on RISC OS platform.

How to convert:

Unless some video converter supports RPL format, a conversion to other more common video formats may not be possible.
