What is a .PWDP file?
The file extension .pwdp can be used for two different file formats: Password Pad Document and PowerWorld Display.
Password Pad Document
A Password Pad Document (.pwdp) is a file format used by Password Pad, a password manager application for Microsoft Windows, Mac, and iOS. It allows users to store their passwords in a secure location and to access them from any device. Password Pad also includes a number of other features, such as a password generator, a password strength checker, and a secure notes feature.. PWDP files store encrypted passwords and other sensitive information. Each PWDP document is encrypted using the password given for that document. This means that only the person who knows the password can open the document and view the contents. PWDP files can also be protected with additional security features, such as two-factor authentication.
PowerWorld Display
A PowerWorld Display (.pwdp) file is a proprietary file format used by PowerWorld Simulator, a power system analysis software package. PWDP files store graphical data associated with power system one-line diagrams, including the sizes, shapes, colors, and locations of graphical elements. They do not contain the actual power system data, which is stored in separate .PWB files. PWDP files are typically used to visualize power system models and to communicate power system information between engineers. They can also be used to create presentations and reports.

How to use .PWDP files with different encryption methods
Password Pad Document files can be encrypted using different encryption methods, such as AES, Blowfish, and Twofish. The encryption method that is used is determined by the user when the PWDP file is created.
PowerWorld Display files are not encrypted.
How to secure .PWDP files with two-factor authentication
Password Pad Document files can be protected with two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security that requires users to enter a code from a mobile device in addition to their password. This makes it more difficult for unauthorized users to access a PWDP file.
PowerWorld Display files cannot be protected with two-factor authentication.
