.PURGEABLE File

File extension purgeable is mainly related to the Time Machine backup app on Mac OS X platform.

These files are backups which Time Machine deems corrupted and renamed them with purgeable file extension.

Should this happen, you will most likely need to create a new backup.

How to open:

Users report they were able to get some of the time from Purgeable files using the Disk Drill Media Recovery app.

How to convert:

It does not seem possible to recover .purgeable file, you will need to make a new backup.
