.PHOTOSLIBRARY File

The photoslibrary file extension is associated with the Apple Photos, a digital photo management and editing software introduced in 2015 and included in Apple OS X El Capitan and probably newer versions of OS X (macOS) operating systems.

The photoslibrary file stores all imported photos, albums, thumbnails, effect settings used by Photos app. File is some kind of package. It is showed as one file, in Finder but it works like directory.

A photoslibrary file extension is related to the Apple Photos and used for its library files (contains photos, albums, thumbnails etc.).

How to open:

You can view photoslibrary package contents - all containing photos and pictures in Finder by using option "Show package contents" by mouse right-click.

How to convert:

This file can't be converted, but contents of the package can be copied or moved elsewhere. Propably some more advanced photo management software can import whole photoslibrary file and import all photos into new database.
