.PAB File

The pab file extension is mainly associated with Personal Address Book files that  used in various Microsoft e-mail applications, such as Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange Server application.

The pab file stores address book separately from e-mails. These files can be added to users e-mail profile, and other users can manually add additional address book information to them. Microsoft Outlook is also using the .oab Outlook Address book files.

PAB format was used in Microsoft Outlook up to version 2003 (Office 11), however, Office Outlook 2007/2010  and later can still  import .pab file into Contacts through the Import and Export command on the File menu.

This pab file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with pab file extension can be typically found as older address book data files for Microsoft Outlook version 2003 and earlier. These files contains contacts and other related personal information data.

How to convert:

Microsoft Outlook is able to to export Microsoft Outlook Personal Adress Book files to any other file format.
