What is an .NDL file?

The ndl file extension is used by Lotus Notes for one of its default files. Lotus Notes is the client of a collaborative client-server platform.

It appears that ndl file represents a plain text document containing an XML statement which refers exactly to a certain document.

If a recipient has a Lotus Notes client on their PC, they can then open the document referred to immediately by double-clicking on the ndl file.

MIME types:
application/vnd.lotus-notes

Files with ndl file extension can be often encountered as some kind of document reference file from Lotus Notes collaborative software.

How to open:

You can most likely view these files using any text editor, although Lotus Notes is the preferred software if you need to access the original document.

How to convert:

You will need Lotus Notes if you need to export the document referenced in the *.ndl file.
