What is an .MSSTYLES file?

The msstyles file extension is used for theme files in Windows XP that contains colors and images used by windows, buttons, and other elements within the Windows GUI. Luna is the codename for the default visual theme of Windows XP.

The .msstyles file must be digitally signed by Microsoft in order to work correctly with the Windows XP. User made custom themes can also be implemented using the StyleXP program.
