.MPO File

The mpo file extension is mainly used for a special stereoscopic format developed by CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) established in 2009.

The mpo file contains several JPEG images from different perspectives to form a stereoscopic experience.

This format was occasionally used in several digital cameras. 

Files with mpo file extension can be found as some sort of stereoscopic format created by the Camera & Imaging Products Association.

How to open:

These *.mpo files can be opened and extracted with MPO Explorer tool.

How to convert:

MPO images can be converted to other bitmap pictures. However the stereoscopic data may not be converted flawlessly.
