The mof file extension is commonly associated with Systems Management Server (SMS) from Microsoft and used for so called Managed Object Format.

This format is sued to describe Common Information Model classes and is commonly used to change settings.

The mof file extension was also used for another Microsoft format used by MSinfo, part of Microsoft Windows.

It was used for Windows NT diagnostics (memory use, drivers, DLL versions, audio,video and print settings etc.).

A mof file extension is related to the Systems Management Server developed by Microsoft. A mof file stores data in managed object format.

Use any text editor to view content of *.mof files.

How to convert:

There is no reason to convert *.mof files to other formats.
