The mn7 file extension is associated with Microsoft Money, a personal finance management software, developed by Microsoft Corporation. As of 2010, the product is officially discontinued and no longer supported by Microsoft.

The .mn1 to .m16 files are created when you install a new version of Microsoft Money. As part of the conversion process, it creates a backup copy of your unconverted file. Only these files can be opened in the previous version of Money, not the MNY file.
