.LSM File

The lsm file extension is related to Ziess LSM, a line of confocal laser scanning microscopes produced by the Zeiss company.

LSM models produce a file format with the filename extension LSM. There exist different generations of this file format depending on the generation of the microscope model, but all are essentially extensions of the TIFF multiple image stack file format.

How to open:

Use LSM Image Browser to view and work with the .lsm files. Certain visualition apps may also support this format.

How to convert:

Possibly can be exported to other image formats. However, all special metadata may be lost during the conversion.
