What is an .LIC file?

The lic file extension is traditionally used for license files by various commercial, demo, shareware applications. A software license agreement is a contract between the licensor (developed) and purchaser of the right to use software.

The license may define ways under which the copy can be used, in addition to the automatic rights of the buyer (freedom to use, archive., resale, backup etc.). License files can also be encrypted or encoded.

A special lic file is also used for license files with content copyright information of IVM video. Every IVM video file has only one LIC copyright information file, this two files (IVM and LIC) must identical, and must be in the same folder

How to open:

Sometimes licence files are just in plain text format and can be opened by any text editor. However, they are encrypted in most cases, or just in binary format that is not readable by human eye.

How to convert:

There is no way how to convert *.lic files because these files are not meant for conversion or alteration of any kind.
