What is an .JXR file?

File extension jxr is generally used for images stored in the JPEG XR file format (also known as JPEG eXtended Range). It was developed by Microsoft for its media software. The format supports deep color images with 48-bit RGB. Its used for a high-resolution professional image editing.

The JXR file format was designed to offer better compression rate and better color accuracy than standard JPG files. Both lossless and lossy compressions are supported.

Files with jxr extension can be found as images in a special bitmap format called JPEG XR developed by Microsoft. 48-bit support, both lossy and lossless compression available.

How to convert:
