What is an .JEF file?

File extension jef is associated with Janome Customizer 11000 and Janome DigitizerPro Embroidery Layout Software.

The jef file contains embroidery layout data, and it is the default format used by Janome.

Janome offers two levels of software to create, import and edit embroidery designs. Customizer 11000 is a first level program which is easy to use but still a powerful creative tool.

This program covers all the current Janome Embroidery models as it incorporates TWO software programs, Customizer 11000 for the MC11000 and Customizer 10000 Plus for other models.

Digitizer Pro is a professional level software program offering industrial quality features and techniques to enhance your design. It is compatible with all current Janome software/embroidery machines and most competitor software programs/embroidery machines.

Files with jef extension are used for the default embroidery file format in Janome sewing and stitching machines. It is one of the many industrial embroidery formats and widely supported by other software, such as Embird.


How to open:

Use Janome Customizer or DigitizerPro software to open and edit *.jef files.

How to convert:

You can open *.jef files in Wilcom TrueSizer e2 and save them in one of the many industrial embroidery formats. Embird Studio is also able to convert *.jef files to other embroidery files.
