File extension hwt is mainly related to the Emotion UI, a customized launcher developed for Huawei smart mobile phones, such as Huawei P9, P8, P8 Lite, Ascend series, Mate series, Honor, etc., with Google Android operating system.

A .hwt file stores data related to graphics themes for Emotion UI. The new themes can be downloaded and installed with Theme Manager app included in Emotion UI.

How to open:

You can apply .hwt themes to certain Huawei mobile devices. To edit hwt files you can use third party app for Android called Theme Creator EMOTIONui.

How to convert:

A conversion for this file type is unlikely, it seems that the themes (.hwt) can only be applied to the device and not transformed to anything else.
