What is an .GTABLE file?

The gtable file extension is mainly related to Google Drive web service and used for Fusion table links. Google Fusion Tables is an experimental app that can be connected to Google Drive and allow users to create databases.

The .gtable file contains web link to a Fusion table created and saved in Google Drive. These files do not contain the actual database, just encoded URL link.

These files can only be opened using web browser and edited using Fusion Tables web app. It will launch the on-line editor in your web browser. You will most likely need Fusion Tables app connected to your Google Drive account as well.
