The gom file extension is associated with the gOpenMol.

The gom file is an ascii file, which contains information about the molecular display at the time when the file was saved. Currently it will contain information about the atoms, rotation matrix, and contour data.

There are still some options which will not be saved but eventually all the information will be saved to continue a session. gOpenMol is discontinued product.
