What is an .GML file?

The gml file extension is most likely best known for its use for the default format of a special, XML-based Geography Markup Language.

GML was defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) in 2000 to express geographical features.

Files with gml extension can be often encountered as waypoints or other gps data saved in the Geography Markup Language.

How to open:

Several GIS programs should be able to handle *.gml files.

How to convert:

Possibly can be transformed to other waypoint / GPS formats.
