File extension globe is mainly related to a one of the many ransomware types, this particular one inspired by the Purge movies. It does not only encrypt user data, but also changes user's wallpaper used in Windows desktop.

Note: Sometimes, there is additional string put before the .globe which results in .random.globe suffix instead. Same ransomware, but different suffix. It may also use .random.encrypted suffix in some variants, but this seems to be somewhat rare.
