.GIG File

The gig file extension is used for 8 / 16 / 24-bits mono sound format, which might contain loops, envelopes, lfo's, collections, instruments, layers, lossless PCM compression (of 16 / 24-bits PCM formats), sample start offsets, multiple filter types.

This gig file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with gig extension can be found as audio files in one of the GigaSample / GigaStudio audio formats.

How to open:

Both Gigastudio and Awave Studio should be able to work with the GIG format.
