The fmc file extension is related to one of the many embroidery formats used in sewing machines. FMC format was supposedly used mainly in Barudan or Melco machines.

Files with fmc extension can be found as somewhat older embroidery designs mainly from Barudan machines.

How to open:

Some embroidery programs may still support FMC embroidery format, but they may be pretty old.

How to convert:

Embroidery designs can be typically resaved between various stitching machine vendor specific formats.
