What is an .FM3 file?

File extension fm3 is mainly associated with old Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet editor. A .fm3 files were used as spreadsheets in Lotus 1-2-3 release 3.X.

MIME: application/vnd.lotus-1-2-3, application/x-123

This fm3 file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with fm3 suffix can be mainly found as old spreadsheets from Lotus 1-2-3 version 3. Somewhat obsolete format.

How to open:

Use Lotus 1-2-3 to open the .fm3 files. Also some spreadsheets programs can still open the .fm3 files, however the latest Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 no longer support that format. You can have luck with any earlier version of Excel, but you will probably lose some of the formatting from the .fm1 files.

How to convert:

Possibly can be exported to other spreadsheet or document formats.
