The fm1 file extension is associated with Lotus 1-2-3, a spreadsheet editor for Microsoft Windows and various other platforms.

The fm1 files were used by Lotus 1-2-3 release 2.X for spreadsheets.

How to open:

Use Lotus 1-2-3 to open the *.fm1 files. Also some spreadsheets programs can still open the .fm1 files, however the latest Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 no longer support that format. You can have luck with any earlier version of Excel, but you will probably loose some of the formatting from the *.fm1 files.
