.FLP File

File extension flp is traditionally used for one of the floppy disk formats. These files mainly used in the past, before  CD/DVD became the dominant medium.

Some versions of Linux still utilize floppy disks, mainly for recovery purposes.

How to open:

Some applications, such as MagicISO still support FLP format. Many virtualization programs (VMware, Virtual PC etc.) can also load data from floppy disk images.

How to convert:

Some programs can make copy of the image and convert it to other similar formats.
