.FILEPART File

The filepart file extension is related to WinSCP, an open source free SFTP client, SCP client, FTPS client and FTP client for Windows.

When transferring file with the SFTP protocol, this file type is first generated on the target destination to reserve disk space and then the transferred file is moved there. Only after the transfer is completed the extension is renamed back to the original.

How to open:

You cannot open this file type manually, it is created to "reserve" disk space and until the transfer is finished, the file is not whole.

How to convert:

You cannot usually convert temporary transfered files, you first have to finish the download before you can access the original file.
