The cwms file extension is associated with the CompeGPS Land GPS navigation software used to view topographic, vectorial, scanned maps or even satellite pictures. CWMS file contains CompeGPS remote map.

The cwms file is in simple text file and contains URL to map on the Internet, parameters, layers, file format settings etc.

How to open:

Use CompeGPS Land to open CompeGPS remote map files. CWMS files are stored in simple text format, to view content of them use any text editor, such as Notepad, Notepad++ etc.

How to convert:

Probably cannot be converted to other formats.
