.CREC File

The crec file extension is mainly related to Microsoft Lync, a video conferencing and instant messaging program from Microsoft Office meant for enterprise customers.

These .crec files are video conference recording in Lync own proprietary video format. It was used in version 2010, but was replaced in favor of MP4 format in 2013 version.

Files with crec file extension are video conference recordings saved in Microsoft Lync program.

How to open:

You can only playback these files using Lync Recording Manager in Microsoft Lync.

How to convert:

These files could also be exported to WMV format for distribution purposes.
