What is an .CRD file?

File extension crd is used for Cardfiles. Cardfile is a personal information manager that was distributed with Microsoft Windows starting from the original version 1.01 until Windows NT 4.0 Server.

Cardfile is also included with Windows 98 and Windows Millennium Edition, but has to be installed manually from the installation CD-ROM. Beginning with Windows 3.1, Cardfile supported Object Linking and Embedding.

The version supplied with Windows NT versions was a 32-bit application with unicode support. Both later versions can read the .crd files created by previous versions.

MIME types:
application/x-mscardfile

This crd file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with crd file extension are generally used for Cardfile personal manager for old versions of Windows OS. Can be imported into latest Windows.

How to open:

Use Cardfile in Microsoft Windows. Only from Windows 1.01 to NT 4.0 or Windows CardSpace in Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7.

How to convert:

Use Cardmate to transform *.crd files to other file formats.
