The ck2 file extension is associated with the Commander Keen computer game series, originally created by id Software in 1990.

The .ck2 files contain data of the second episode of Invasions of the Vorticons trilogy, called The Earth Explodes, also known as Commander Keen 2.

How to open:

You can open and view the contents of .ck2 files with a small fanmade program called Mindbelt.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .ck2 file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
