The bod file extension is related to X3 Reunion, a space trading and combat simulator from Egosoft, released by Deep Silver in 2005.

The bod file contains 3D graphic data about spacecraft used in the game.

How to open:

You can open *.bod files in 3DS Max. 1. install the Doubleshadow’s DBOX2 plugin for 3DS.2. run 3DS and use the MAXscript DBOX2 plugin to a *.bod

How to convert:

Some 3Dmodelings tools can import .bod ship files and edit the spaceship models.
